Musk Moments

This will be an ongoing article with my art created when something happens that I call a “Musk Moment”. This blog post will be updated as this story unfolds. It has been less than a month since Elon Musk took over day to day operations of Twitter. You’ve got to wonder what he’s been thinking. I mean, he’s a billionaire with nothing else to do. Are we watching the modern-day version of a neurotic rich man the Howard Hughs of the twenty-first century? I start noticing the strange things happening on Twitter but don’t take much stock in it then I noticed the past few days it seems Elon rushed the reinstatement of DT Twitter access but I just went on with my life. Then tonight I noticed something Elon published on his feed which took me by surprise. I’m not a prude so it wasn’t the sexual nature of the meme, it was the rudeness and thoughtlessness it portrayed. Really, haven’t we moved beyond this childish rhetoric?

November 20, 2022

Elon Musk became the owner and CEO of Twitter on October 27, 2022, after acquiring the social media company for $44 billion. Will Twitter break him? I think he was counting on his friend Donald Trump to come to save the day and bring his followers back to the platform but that doesn’t seem to be happening. Donald Trump responded on Saturday, 11/19 to Elon by saying, he had no interest in returning to Twitter. Then Elon posted a crude photo of a young girl showing her ass, covered with Twitter’s Blue Bird logo, to a priest praying labeled with the words Donald Trump.

Really, do you need to burn it down? You’ve been the “boss” for less than a month. Weren’t you supposed to be smart? The actions you’ve taken seem erratic and reckless from the outside. Is there a clause for crazy in your insurance policy?

There are enough of us on the platform willing to subsidize its use by paying you $8/mo to have the blue check mark. Why do you need to invite controversy to the platform? We’re here to build our own communities around our passions and businesses.

For some, it is a lifeline to people they wouldn’t have the opportunity to know in the process of living their daily normal lives. Please don’t make this your next failure. We’re here to help you succeed, but quit being ugly!
